The Annual Meeting of the ALS Society of British Columbia – Victoria Chapter

The Annual Meeting of the ALS Society of British Columbia – Victoria Chapter took place virtually on March 19th, 2023. The 2023/24 executive committee were elected as follows;
- Gillian Calder, President;
- Jennifer Pendray, Secretary;
- Ellen Mahoney, Director at Large, Volunteer Patient Services Coordinator & Support Group Facilitator;
- Heather Huck, Director at Large;
- Hailey Parker, Move to Cure ALS – Victoria Coordinator.
“The ALS Society of BC is the only ALS Society in Canada with chapters, of which we have two. One located in the Greater Victoria area and the other supporting the Mid Island region. We are very fortunate to have a committed group of volunteers living on Vancouver Island to represent the ALS Society of British Columbia. It is due to volunteerism, the Society can offer the many programs and support services we do with very low administration costs.”

The Chapter’s role is to provide support groups, increase awareness and to fundraise. The Move to Cure ALS – Victoria will take place on Sunday, June 25th at the University of Victoria parking lot #10. Registration is open on the Move to Cure ALS website.
