Louise Gauthier

Louise became involved with the ALS Society of BC in 2018 after loosing her mother (Linda) to the disease. Louise witnessed firsthand the value of what ALS BC does to help those living with ALS. Compelled to give back, volunteering for the society seemed like a natural fit. Louise is currently one of the Event Coordinator’s for the Kelowna Move to Cure ALS, the Co-Facilitator for the Kelowna and Area Support Group for those living with ALS, and a Member of the Board of Directors, and actively advocates as a Member of the Patient Services Committee. In 2021 Louise was awarded the ‘Walk of the Year’ recognizing the achievement in fundraising for Kelowna. In 2023 Louise was awarded the Roy Slater Volunteer Award to recognize exemplary volunteer leadership. Louise works for a Canadian Denim Apparel Brand as a District Manager Area Lead supervising BC & YT. She is the Corporate Wish Ambassador for the charity Make-A-Wish Canada. Born in England and immigrated to Canada at age eight. Louise is passionate to ensure those living with ALS have the best quality of life and have equal access to care and treatment. Louise is committed to bringing PROJECT HOPE to fruition and making ALS treatable.
