Louise Gauthier

Louise became involved with ALS Society of BC in 2018 after her Mum (Linda) passed away with limb onset. From the tremendous support Linda received from ALS BC through the Loans Cupboard, counseling, and Support Group it felt natural for Louise to give back after her Mum passed away. Louise began Volunteering with The ALS Walk in 2018, and then in 2020, she began co-facilitates the Kelowna and Area ALS Support Group. Louise and her husband, Richard are avid Fundraisers for “Linda’s Angels” whether, in person or virtual, they pledge to make a difference for those living with ALS. Louise has a Diploma in Management and Post-Diploma in Marketing. She currently works for a Canadian Denim Apparel brand in retail management, where she supervises BC and YT as a District Manager Area Lead. She is her company’s Ambassador for their charity Make-A-Wish Canada. Louise was born in England and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was eight. Louise lives in West Kelowna with her husband and calico cat, Gewürztraminer.  Louise is passionate to ensure those living with ALS have the best quality of life and the opportunity to participate in clinics here in BC. With “Project Hope” we are on the cusp of making ALS a treatable disease.
