Today is Thank you Thursday, a day in which we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to donors, supporters, sponsors, and everyone who helped raise valuable funds for our GivingTuesday campaign! We also thank our patients and volunteers for sharing their stories with the community!

Donate to Our 2022 GivingTuesday Movement

On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the ALS Society of BC is participating in GivingTuesday, an annual giving movement that has been driven by individuals, charities, businesses and communities across Canada and in countries around the world. Just as Black Friday and Cyber Monday kicks off the holiday shopping season, GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season. The global day of generosity, GivingTuesday unites millions of Canadians to support the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.

As a participating charity of GivingTuesday, we ask for your support with our Robert R. Heinrich Equipment Loan Program, which helps people cope with the daily challenges of decreasing mobility and independence. By obtaining basic, essential, and advanced assistive devices at no charge, we hope to reduce the financial burden and enhance the quality of life of those living with ALS. The program includes mobility equipment, lifts, beds & accessories, bathroom aids, and communication devices.

Another way to support our GivingTuesday campaign is by volunteering your time and talents. Volunteers are the backbone of the ALS Society of BC. Our goal is to recruit 20 new volunteers. Become part of Team ALS BC & Yukon today!

Please help us show the power of hope to people living with ALS in BC by spreading the word and joining us for a global day of giving. Our goal is to raise $200,000.00, and thank you to our “Anonymous Donors” and “Casa Mia Projects Ltd.” who will match donations up to $50,000.00. 🙏💜
