Dr. Daniel Fok

My interest in treating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) came during fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine. I had subsequently moved to Kelowna with plans to provide and develop comprehensive multidisciplinary care in the Interior. Much of my motivation revolves around a belief that all healthcare should be accessible and equitable across Canada. In addition, I strongly believe that any comprehensive multidisciplinary clinic for ALS should also provide access, or be actively participating in clinical trials, as this will eventually lead to novel therapies and potential cures. Therefore, I strive to be a strong advocate for patients that do not have equitable access to care and work alongside others to drive change and quality improvement.
