Dr. Charles Krieger

Dr. Krieger is a professor of kinesiology at SFU.  He is focused on a cure or effective treatment for ALS.  He frequently does neurological testing at the GF Strong ALS Clinic. Dr. Krieger’s current research includes characterization of a cat ion current in neurons in health and disease; evaluation of the roles of protein and lipid kinesis in a cell culture model of excitotoxicity; and determination of the role of protein kinesis in an animal model of motor neuron disease.  He received his MD from the University of Toronto, his MSc from the University of Montreal and his PhD from the University of London.
