Prior to exhibiting the first symptoms of ALS in 2016, at the age of 30, Brad MacKenzie graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in applied science (electrical engineering). He has spent the majority of his professional career designing and implementing telecommunications systems for public safety agencies (i.e., police and fire departments) across Canada.
