October 23, 2019 – Edaravone (Radicava) Update
- MT Pharma has publicly announced that Radicava will be commercially available in Canada beginning on November 5, 2019. As we know, commercial availability is important news for people living with ALS who are currently or interested in accessing the drug. It may have implications for those on the MTPC Edaravone Supply Program or getting the drug through personal importation. With more details now available publicly, we will be sharing this information externally and directing the ALS community to the appropriate source for additional information.
- Health Canada has confirmed that personal importation of edaravone will continue to be permitted until April 1, 2020. This includes people having the drug shipped to them as well as carrying it on their person.
